Image quality and radiation dose produced by the imaging equipment during an x-ray examination are of primary concern in the diagnostic radiology. The value of the images in a diagnostic case is directly proportional to the quality of the x-ray images produced by the imaging equipment and as such directly related to the information content conveyed to the radiologist.
